Survey for families/friends/carers of people with Parkinson's - Northumbria University

Explanation of this research survey

Before completing this research survey, please ensure you have read the participant information sheet which can be found at:

This research survey has been developed by people with Parkinson's and their loved ones, with support from researchers at Northumbria University.

Parkinson’s affects around 145,000 people in the UK. Guidelines recommend that people with Parkinson’s should have regular access to Parkinson’s nurses. Parkinson's nurses have been in post for 30 years, however, there is limited evidence to show their effectiveness. This research is designed to improve our understanding of the role and value of these specialist nurses and how they impact on the lives of people with Parkinson’s and their family members, friends and carers.

We really need to hear your views! We are looking for input from family members/friends/carers of people with Parkinson's who live in the UK. The questions will be about your thoughts and experiences of the care the person with Parkinson's receives. The results of this research survey will contribute to an evidence base for services provided by specialist nurses working in the field of Parkinson's.

This research survey should take between 15-45 minutes to complete. All questions with an asterisk (*) require an answer. You will be able to go back into the research survey as many times as you wish (just select "save and continue later" and provide your email address and a link will be sent to you).

This research survey is anonymous. Consent and capacity to take part in this research project will be assumed through self-completion of the survey.
